Claflin University invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Sociology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teachinggeneral survey and advanced program courses within the Sociology curriculum. There are opportunities to teach online as well as in traditional settings. A commitment to teaching excellence and student advising is required. The teaching load is nine courses per year. Faculty publications are expected, and research opportunities are available.

A PhD is required. The successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching. All specializations will be considered.
