Claflin University invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching foundational psychology courses, research methods and statistics and advanced program courses within the psychology curriculum. We are looking for the following areas of specialization: Developmental, Experimental or Clinical/Counseling. There are opportunities to teach online as well. A commitment to teaching excellence and student advising is required. The teaching load is 4/4 per year.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to maintain an ongoing program of research and publication, the potential to secure external grant funding to support that research, and the willingness to contribute substantially to the department’s teaching mission at the undergraduate level.
A PhD is Required. A successful candidate must possess experience in college level teaching. All specializations will be considered.
